Gone
My lover is gone,
He's now on his way,
To go where I can't,
He never can stay.
He appears with the chill,
When the leaves start to fall,
But then takes his leave,
When the shadows get small.
I beg him to stay,
As I look to the sky,
I wait for an answer,
But I get no reply.
He's gone from me now,
But I count down the nights,
When there's a chill to the air,
And he's back in my sights.

Orion 3/1/17
Orion
Orion, O'Rion,
You light up my night,
When there's a chill in my bones,
And my fancy's in flight.
Orion, O'Rion,
You're the light in my eyes,
When the sun slowly darkens,
And you start to rise.
Orion, O'Rion,
You twinkle and tease,
You're here but a moment,
Oh, stay with me, please.
Orion, O'Rion
You'll soon take your leave
When the night air gets warm
And I'm left here to grieve.
